When we lived in the house with Dave the Crackhead I read Anne Mccaffrey dragon books all the time and there was this dude, Robinton, who was the Master Harper of Pern; Master harper being head educator 'cuz musicians did that on this planet pern.
He liked this wine called Benden White which was grown in the province of Pern called Benden (named after Admiral Paul Benden who colonized the planet).
While they were excavating the lava-flows of the abandoned southern continent, they discovered that the audio visual interface computer (AIVAS) was still operable and still capable of diagnosing illnesses and Robinton learned that he had a terminal disease.
